SharkSole collects only the personal data needed to process your orders and support you, in line with the GDPR.

Data we collect
Name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (where needed for delivery) and order details. Card details are entered on our payment partner's page and are not stored by SharkSole.
Why we use it and on what basis
To fulfil your order, deliver it and handle returns and support (performance of a contract); to meet accounting, tax and consumer-law obligations (legal obligation); to prevent fraud and secure the site (legitimate interest); to send marketing emails only if you subscribe (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Retention
Order and invoice data is kept for the legal accounting period (up to 10 years). Support correspondence is kept for up to 3 years after the last contact. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Who receives your data
Only the service providers we need to run the shop: our card payment partner when you pay by card, shipping carriers, and our hosting and email providers. Carriers and our hosting and email providers may use your data only to deliver their service. Our card payment partner receives what it needs to take your payment on its own page; if it asks you to verify your identity on a first purchase, it does so under its own privacy policy. Bitcoin payments go through our own BTCPay Server. We do not sell your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, port and object to the processing of your data, and to restrict it. Write to privacy@sharksole.shop, or use the form on our contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Cookies and local storage
The site stores your cart, wishlist and theme preference in your browser. Non-essential cookies are only used with your consent.
